Number one!

We missed posting the first one but just for you we decided to show both.

The band made a blog posting on MySpace after the frantic Manchester gig (in which people got beat up and the gig got cancelled, if you have a review then make sure you post one in our gigs section) the band then posted one after the  Preston gig. They can both be seen below.

Manchester - 20th November

NICE BOOTS JIMMY!
When going on tour with Milburn you probably wouldn’t expect to be playing football with Jimmy Grimble, seeing pictures of fans’ genitalia and having altercations with bouncers…. But that’s what happened during just 1 day of the tour in Manchester.

LUCKILY THIS CAN ALL BE EXPLAINED…
Milburn, who all have childhood memories of the film Jimmy Grimble got the chance to play football against the "boy with the boots."  Jimmy and his mates, all Milburn fans cruised to victory in a match where Milburn and crew simply didn’t perform… Drummer Joe Green blames the boots.

The boys’ concentration during the game was further hindered by Jimmy’s travelling contingent. The opposing fans brought along a megaphone and continued to use it to their advantage… The F.A have been informed.

Singer Joe Carnall also received a shock whilst having his photo taken with 2 fans.  As the fan, who is to remain unnamed, passed his camera phone to tour manager Waq, an image of the fans "old man" was revealed to the world.

The whereabouts of the phone and tour manager Waq are still unknown…

Preston - 21st November

TAXI FOR MILBURN!

After the dramatic events in Manchester, Milburn travelled to Preston to play their next gig at the student union.

The lads arrived in high spirits and were eager to get back to what they do best…….Beating their fans at football.

Milburn’s journey to the football venue was not one without incident though. Whilst waiting for a taxi, Milburn and the rest of the team hopped into a minibus, which both the driver and the lads presumed was for them. However, after travelling 15 minutes in the opposite direction, suspicions arose. When singer Joe questioned the driver, he aptly responded, "Aren’t you the Volleyball team? I’ve been told to pick up 7 lads and take them to Liverpool…"

Unbelievably the driver was "meant" to be picking up the University Volleyball team, but instead ended up taking on the role as Milburn team coach driver!

When the match finally got underway, Milburn looked far sharper then they did in Manchester, and with the match at one point looking to be in the balance, it was Milburns’ class that proved the difference. At times the football being played was simply a sight to behold. Milburn ran out winners, and for those of you in suspense…..They made it home.
